The Weeknd has become the first black singer in RIAA’s 70-year history to have three diamond singles. 2019’s “Blinding Lights,” has received a certification of 10X Platinum, and 2016’s “Starboy” has reached 11X Platinum, the two songs join “The Hills,” which had already been certified diamond. The Weeknd comes second to Bruno Mars who has five diamond single certifications. Others in the diamond club include Justin Bieber, Cardi B, Post Malone, Imagine Dragons, Eminem, Katy Perry, and Ed Sheeran.
